Officials say a woman has been wounded in a shooting outside a Grand Rapids gathering held in memory of a man who was fatally shot this month at a party.

The Grand Rapids Press reports people had gathered Thursday night at the Urban Family Ministries building following the funeral for 21-year-old Juwan Boykin.

WOOD-TV reports the woman was hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

In an online statement, Urban Family Ministies asked for prayers for the woman who was shot and said staff and volunteers were safe.

Authorities have said that Boykin was among nine people shot Oct. 9 at the party in a shuttered Grand Rapids business with a sign advertising it as a clearance outlet for electronics, furniture and sporting goods.

The others shot at the party survived.
