Grand Rapids voters narrowly passed a public school bond measure on Tuesday night.

The $175 million dollar bond request passed with 53 percent of the vote.

Grand Rapids Public School District officials say the money moves the district’s Transformation Plan forward.

That plan includes funding for classroom and building upgrades and renovations as well as investments in security and technology.
