Belmont Water Crisis now has Erin Brockovich involved

Consumer Advocate Erin Brockovich has joined a legal team including the Miller Law Firm that has filed a class action lawsuit against Wolverine World Wide, 3M Corporation and Waste Management.

The lawsuit seeks immediate blood testing, monitoring and damage for people who have been harmed by water contamination after waste dumped by Wolverine Worldwide containing toxic per and poly floral alkyl substances contaminated a number of wells in the Rockford and Belmont area.

“So the common denominator across the board that I have seen for about 22 years, is the absolute lack of transparency, and the lack of information or the knowledge that people do or don’t have about what is in their water,” Brockovich said. “Here again, we have another water contamination, with the community, with several, a large community impacted.”

Brockovich is best known for winning a class action lawsuit against Pacific Gas & Electric Company. The story was made into the film “Erin Brockovich.”
