Seven area colleges come together to meet with former ITT Tech students impacted by the school’s campus-wide closures.

Representatives from the seven colleges and universities will be at The Kroc Center in Grand Rapids on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. to provide information and answer questions.

ITT Tech announced the closures earlier this month following sanctions from the U.S. Department of Education.

The move is said to affect tens of thousands of students nationwide and includes the local ITT campus in Wyoming – as well as four other ITT campuses in the state.

Thursday’s ITT Student College Fair is organized through K-Connect and the T2C Studio with the Grand Rapids Center for College Success.

Institutions include Aquinas, Calvin and Grand Rapids Community colleges as well as Davenport, Ferris State, Grand Valley and Western Michigan universities.

A local helpline has also been established through the studio’s To College, Through College initiative and the Grand Rapids Urban League.

Students can call 616-252-2201 to get connected to more information.
