More people are flying out of Grand Rapids’ airport these days, and the number continues to grow. For the fifth straight year, The Gerald R. Ford International Airport has broken its own record for the number of flyers that are taking to the friendly West Michigan skies.

“This is an incredible milestone to accomplish, and we could not have done this without our tremendous staff, our loyal passengers, and all of our airline partners and airport tenants,” said GFIA President & CEO Jim Gill.

In 2017, 2,811,622 passengers flew in and out of GFIA, an increase of 5.95-percent from 2016.
