A Grand Rapids school was evacuated Thursday after what was believed to be three Molotov cocktails were found in the locker of a student, according to Grand Rapids Police Sgt. Cathy Williams.

Around 300 students were evacuated from C.A. Frost Middle/High School around 11AM Thursday morning.

According to John Helmholdt, the Executive Director of Communications & External Affairs for GRPS, the cocktails were actually part of a World War 1 school project.

The evacuation comes one day after a mass school shooting in Florida killed 17 people.
