Knight Transportation locating "Solution team" in Grand Rapids creating new jobs

One of North America’s largest trucking companies is moving offices to Grand Rapids creating new jobs Knight Transportation calls Phoenix, Arizona home. But it’s Grand Rapids where it will place the company’s “Solution team” with a focus on technology for discovery customer service solutions. The new branch will locate on Grand Rapids northwest side of town where the company will make a half-a-million dollar investment over the next three years and create 87 new jobs. Regional economic development organization, The Right Place, helped to relocate Knight Transportation to West Michigan. Forbes Magazine lists it among their Top 200 Best Small Companies. Mike McClelland, Senior Vice President, Knight Transportation noted the areas vibrant economy, skilled workforce and access to colleges and universities as reasons to locate in Grand Rapids.
