Republican Rob VerHeulen of Walker won the majority of the vote in Michigan’s 74th House District. The incumbent won 65 percent of the vote. Democratic challenger, Robin Bigger won 31 percent. VerHeulen tells us he’ll maintain the course allowing businesses and individuals to flourish across the state.
“We’ll gather together after our new members are sworn in and try to identify priorities. And we don’t know what will be taken care of in lame duck. The energy package was something which we all worked hard on I understand the Senate is going to try to pass something yet this session and then it will come to the House and we’ll see if we can get that done.”
VerHeulen says House Republicans will also consider reforming no-fault insurance as well.
