In January, President Donald Trump asked Congress to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act “very quickly.”

The replacement plan has yet to be revealed. A recent statewide poll asks Michigan voters what they think about repealing the ACA without a replacement?

Whether you’re a Michigan Republican, Democrat or Independent the overwhelming number of voters, 57 percent, want Congress and President Donald Trump to have a health care replacement plan enacted before repealing the one that’s already in place.

Only eight percent are in favor of repealing the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare without a replacement.

The survey of 600 registered Michigan voters was conducted by Lansing-based Epic-MRA for the Michigan Health & Hospital Association.

It also reveals 33 percent of Michigan voters oppose Obamacare repeal. The survey’s author says, “While 61 percent of Democrats say the ACA should not be repealed at all, 79 percent of Republicans and 63 percent of Independents don’t want the law repealed before a replacement plan is in place.”

And there’s more, “The survey also found an overwhelming 81 percent of Michigan voters (including 80 percent of Independents and 67 percent of Republicans) support the State of Michigan or the federal government offering low-cost, comprehensive health insurance to workers earning $34,000 a year or less.”

The Epic-MRA poll has an error margin of plus/minus 4 percent.
