ArtPrize changes rules, plans official week of previews By Associated Press • Mar 10, 2016 Courtesy photo / ArtPrize.org The annual ArtPrize competition is changing the rules, saying past grand prize winners won't be eligible to compete in future competitions. Changes were announced Thursday. Previously, grand prize winners couldn't compete the next year. Spokesman Todd Herring tells The Grand Rapids Press the goal is to "challenge the familiar and challenge the status quo." He says the change is aimed at keeping the choice of finalists fresh. Previous winners still can display works.
