Related Content Muskegon veterans museum asks public to help with repairs By Associated Press • Apr 14, 2016 lst393.org A veterans museum housed inside of a WWII-era warship moored at a Muskegon dock is seeking handy volunteers to help with repairs. The Muskegon Chronicle reports that the USS LST 393 Veterans Museum at the Mart Dock is hosting a three-day volunteer fixup weekend from Friday to Sunday. Though the ship always requires routine maintenance, it's badly in need of repairs after it suffered damage in a windstorm in December. Unexpected movement caused by winds gusts of up to 61 miles per hour caused damaged to the ship's walkways, plumbing, railings and paint job.
