West Michigan officers remember those lost in the line of duty.

The fallen officer memorial service is held Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. at the Grand Rapids Police Department's Monroe Center headquarters.

A list of 31 officers are named, including those from Grand Rapids, Kentwood, Walker and Kent County law enforcement agencies, as well as the Michigan State Police.

The annual event is sponsored by the Gerald R. Ford Metro Lodge #97 of the Fraternal Order of Police and the GRPD.

Kent County Sheriff Lawrence Stelma will be the memorial's featured guest speaker.
