Wyoming has a new business moving into former Rogers Department Store and Klingman's Furniture

The Right Place

More than $4 million dollars will be invested in an iconic building along Wyoming’s 28th Street. What was once home to Rogers Department Store and Klingman’s Furniture will soon have a new business moving in.

One of North America’s leading business solutions to consumer goods manufacturers and retailers had a decision to make; consolidate its operations in west Michigan or Wisconsin where the company also has an office? With an assist from regional nonprofit economic development organization, The Right place, and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Advantage Solutions will consolidate its four locations in Wyoming.

Following the announcement, City of Wyoming Mayor Jack Poll said, “Exciting things are happening in the 28th Street corridor and the reuse of the former Klingman’s building is integral to our success.”

With Advantage Solutions consolidation comes a $4.3 million dollar investment. Not only will hundreds of jobs will stay in West Michigan and call the 28th Street location home, but the company plans to hire another 100 employees.

The MEDC is offering a $550,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant securing the project.
