Tomorrow, Kent County voters will head to the polls, as the Grand Rapids City Commission is holding two primaries in the 1st and 2nd ward. This week, WGVU is profiling the six candidates running for those two Commission seats.
Joe Jones is the President and CEO of the Grand Rapids Urban League, and is currently the City Commissioner in Grand Rapids 2nd Ward. Jones is seeking re-election and a second term as commissioner, and WGVU asked Jones three questions:
What accomplishments have you made in your 1st term that you feel have earned you a second term? What issues facing Grand Rapids today are most important to you personally, and if re-elected, what can the city of Grand Rapids and the 2nd Ward expect under your leadership?
Listen to Jones response above.
