Common Threads, hosted by Fred Stella, is a co-production of WGVU Radio and The Interfaith Dialogue Association.  Common Threads airs Sundays at 7:00am and 6:30pm on WGVU 88.5 Grand Rapids, 95.3 Muskegon.

We continue with Father Joachim Lally. Father Lally is a Paulist Priest and a presenter at the Catholic Information Center in Grand Rapids.  He is the founder/director of Catholic Youth in Action, the founder and executive director of the Adelante Youth Center in Lawrence, MA, and a co-founder of the Dominican Youth Mission.

Father Lally will be giving a meditation retreat at the Sivananda Ashram in the Bahamas in May.

Larry currently serves as the chairman of Skoll Global Threats Fund.

The Reverend Elder Dr. Nancy L. Wilson of the Metropolitan Community Churches returns to Common Threads for part two of our conversation. Nancy is the former Moderator (global leader) of MCC.

Nancy served as pastor of Church of the Trinity MCC in Sarasota, Florida, from 2001 to 2005 and was previously the pastor of MCC Los Angeles from 1986 until 2000.

In 2011, President Barack Obama appointed Rev. Wilson to the President’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.

We’re joined by The Reverend Elder Dr. Nancy L. Wilson of the Metropolitan Community Churches. She is the former Moderator (global leader) of MCC, elected to that position in 2005 and then re-elected for a term of six years in 2010.

Nancy served as pastor of Church of the Trinity MCC in Sarasota, Florida, from 2001 to 2005 and was previously the pastor of MCC Los Angeles from 1986 until 2000; the church founded by Rev. Troy Perry in 1968.
